J’ADORE MI AMOR BY PEPA SALAZAR OR HOW TO PRESENT YOURSELF TO THE WORLD

Pepa Salazar has been in the game since 2013 and its the first time she is adventuring to launch a collection in Paris, the center of European fashion. Born in Valencia, she is one of the leading figures of the new generation of contemporary design in Spain. After studying at IED Madrid and working on the creative team at Loewe, she launched her own label, quickly establishing herself thanks to her innovative approach and numerous awards at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid. Her work is characterized by a unique vision of women's fashion, combining sculptural silhouettes, sensuality, and a strong visual identity. Through experimentation with pattern making, fabrics, and form, Salazar explores the relationship between the body and the garment, creating designs that balance conceptual innovation with functionality and wearability. Her creations have been worn by international artists such as Rosalía, Madonna, Kim Kardashian, and Nathy Peluso, solidifying her presence in contemporary fashion.

To celebrate the launch of her latest collection, Pepa Salazar organized “J’Adore Mi Amor”, an intimate dinner held in Paris during Paris Fashion Week. Conceived as more than a promotional event, the gathering reflected the designer’s collaborative and community-oriented approach, bringing together a carefully selected group of friends, artists, creatives, stylists, and collaborators who have shaped and supported her creative universe. The event served as an opportunity to present the collection within a personal and culturally rich setting, reinforcing the close relationship between fashion, art, and creative expression that defines Salazar’s work.

Building on this presentation, Pepa Salazar introduced her Essentials Collection, a carefully curated selection of timeless wardrobe staples that encapsulates the brand’s most distinctive design codes. Rather than presenting seasonal trends, the collection distills the essence of Salazar’s creative identity through the sculptural pattern cutting that has become a defining characteristic of her work. Developed through a direct draping process on the mannequin, each garment reflects a close dialogue between structure, movement, and the body, resulting in silhouettes that are both expressive and functional. At the same time, the collection reinforces the designer’s commitment to more conscious fashion practices by prioritizing sustainable materials, including wood pulp fibres, cotton sourced from regenerative agriculture, and recycled fibres. Through this combination of innovative construction techniques and responsible material choices, the Essentials Collection embodies Pepa Salazar’s vision of a contemporary, refined, and enduring wardrobe that balances aesthetic experimentation with environmental awareness.

The dinner was sponsored by Nike, reinforcing the long-standing relationship between the global sportswear brand and Pepa Salazar. This ongoing collaboration demonstrates how Salazar’s distinctive creative vision resonates beyond the sphere of independent fashion. Nike’s continued support also highlights the designer’s growing international recognition and her ability to establish meaningful partnerships with major global brands while preserving the conceptual and artisanal identity of her label. By backing an event that celebrated both the launch of the collection and the creative community surrounding it, Nike contributed to positioning Pepa Salazar’s work within a broader cultural dialogue that connects fashion, art, and contemporary visual culture.

The launch culminated in an intimate celebration, as we talked before, that perfectly reflected this vision, bringing together an eclectic mix of figures from the worlds of fashion, film, music, and art. Including James Franco, Fai Khadra, Mona Tougaard, Abra, Gaspar Noé, Sega Bodega, Carlijn Jacobs, Helena Tejedor, Amy Lim, and Pau Avia, among many others. Ultimately, the evening confirmed that the strength of the brand lies not only in its garments but also in its ability to create a universe where fashion operates as a shared cultural language; proof that, sometimes, the best way to introduce a timeless collection is by bringing together the people who make it feel unmistakably alive
