HELIOT EMIL and Alpinestars RSRV Reframe Motorsport Protection Through Footwear

HELIOT EMIL and Alpinestars RSRV join forces for a footwear collaboration that brings the technical language of motorsport into a contemporary fashion context. The project, titled “The Art of Protection,” examines the relationship between engineered performance, industrial design, and everyday functionality.

Rather than simply adapting existing technical equipment, the collaboration takes inspiration from the systems and construction principles associated with motorsport and translates them into a new footwear proposition. The result reflects both brands’ focus on precision, innovation, and distinctive material treatment.

A Technical Approach to Footwear

The collaboration features two footwear designs built around the visual and structural qualities of protective equipment. Technical components, reinforced structures, and performance-oriented details have been incorporated into the silhouettes, maintaining a clear connection to Alpinestars RSRV’s motorsport heritage while adopting HELIOT EMIL’s more experimental design perspective.

The technical elements are deliberately exposed rather than concealed. Protective structures become defining features of the footwear, shifting their role from purely functional components to integral parts of the overall design.

This approach creates a product that communicates its construction openly, highlighting the relationship between engineering and aesthetics.

Motorsport Heritage, Reinterpreted

For HELIOT EMIL, the collaboration extends its interest in industrial processes and functional design, while Alpinestars RSRV brings decades of experience developing advanced protective technologies for riders and high-performance environments.

Together, the brands explore how this expertise can be translated beyond its original application. By moving protective technologies from the racetrack into an everyday setting, the project challenges the conventional separation between technical equipment and fashion.
